Christina Amundsen and I worked close together on the concept for the music video for Sleep Party People's first single "The Missing Steps" on their album with the same title. We wanted to create a melancholic love story of two people becoming part of a mountain and growing together with nature in a parallel world.

Process

The landscape is made by mountains generated using Cinema 4D. The pyramids was given a glass texture, which reflected the mountains in interesting ways that gave the landscape a futuristic feeling. The two actors were filmed using a RED camera, which is really good for slow motion. I 3D scanned the actors with an Xbox Kinect and put them into my 3d landscapes to make them look like they were frozen into the landscape.
